- Head: Learning & Talent Development**Job Purpose**
- To advise on and integrate the learning and talent development function best practice into business strategy and the HR value chain, in line with the business needs and to ensure business talent development objectives are met for current and future business challenges; at a strategic and tactical level in Group Risk, in line with Nedbank’s business strategy.**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the Leadership of all the talent Leadership and Development content, design and delivery, needs analysis and planning, ensuring that all the vendors selected meet all the necessary Accreditation to ensure that we meet all the requires Skills Development Targets
- Support the building of future skills (Identified in the bank’s Strategic Workforce Planning)
- Ensure that the Group Risk Graduate Programme identifies and accelerates talent in line with the (Future & Critical Skills Based) required in Critical Talent Segments
- Support line managers with identifying the right strategic leadership development journey based on the GAP’s identified from talent assessments for all potential successors, emerging talent/ Leadership assessment or development
- Ensure that the right Coaching & Mentoring solutions are in place for identified potential successors for executive/Divco/Key Specialists/ Emerging Talent as per the defined talent segments
- Identify the appropriate Career Learning paths and supporting capability frameworks into the learning solution architecture
- Ensure that the transformation targets are met through consideration of targets, the learning nomination process of learners at all occupational levels and utilizing suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list for retail.
- Ensure issues raised in culture survey on talent development opportunities are addressed and results are improved by ensuring action plans are created
- Create reports that provide insights on learning spend as well as link the ROI on the improved career development practices
- Deliver a world class service through others by ensuring a client centric culture through required interventions
- Identify areas of resource inefficiencies and promote optimization through promoting multi-skilling and addressing capacity gaps by reviewing and improving work processes
- Manage client service delivery through monthly meetings and reviews in group and individually as part of governance and as per business needs
- Ensure stakeholders are on target through monthly feedback from individual business unit and providing guidance and advice regarding delivery and new ways of finding optimal solutions for business needs
- Build and maintain external stakeholder relationships through monthly meetings and regular updates. Monitor budgets through reporting; operating within budgets or targets, forecasting and giving advise and guidance
- Ensure due process is followed by capturing of data within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and set timelines
- Identify relevant development needs by assessing own performance and behaviour through formal and informal feedback
- Maintain a capable high performing team by identifying a talent pool through conducting career conversations and utilising the talent grid principles and developing talent retention programmes. Build depth of skills and knowledge in the team of managers by sharing knowledge and insight with team members Suring mentoring, coaching and day to day activities.
- Ensure continuous improvement goals are achieved by creating an environment whereby self, managers and team are encouraged to challenge the status quo by initiating constructive debates about work practices and areas for improvement.

**Essential Qualifications - NQF Level**
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

**Preferred Qualification**
- Postgraduate degree in Industrial Psychology, Leadership Development Management or a similar field

**Minimum Experience Level**
- 8- 10 years learning, talent development, functional and management experience of which 2 years financial services experience in a senior role
