At Livewell, we pride ourselves on providing specialised Dementia and Alzheimer’s care services, to our memory care residents. Our multidisciplinary healthcare team range from our own nursing team, to our specialised support network of healthcare professionals such as nutritionists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, psychologists, social workers and more.

We are looking to hire an Enrolled Nurse with experience in Geriatric Patients diagnosed with Dementia.
- **Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities**_

**1. Healthcare & Nursing Duties**
- Day to day on the job training of Enrolled Nurse Auxiliaries and Care providers during your shift.
- Ensure care providers allocations are in line with caring needs of residents.
- Wound Care
- Compiling reports for: Incidents, resident care operations, handover, WCA and weekly reports to the Head of Healthcare.
- Ensuring all medicine is administered correctly.
- Monitoring patients vitals.
- Implementing and adhering to Infection Control measurements and protocols.
- Ordering stock.
- Liaising with residents family members
- Booking of appointments for the residents with relevant GP's and Specialist.

**2. Family Relations**:

- Maintain and build healthy relationships with families of the residents living at Livewell.
- Informing families timeously of any concerns that are healthcare related or change in medication.
- Ensuring healthcare related reports to residents families are consistently of high standards, which included Doctors visit feedback or correspondence after a hospital visit.

**3. Operations and Facilities**
- Completing regular safety and room checks.
- Ensuring passages are free of obstacles according to Health and Safety regulations.
- Completing and submitting necessary job cards.
- Reporting any incidents to the the relevant Supervisors.

**4. Induction and Onboarding**
- Provide onboarding, job shadowing and training as required for the newly appointed staff members to perform their job related tasks.

**5. Ongoing training and Skills Development**
- Provide job specific training to all staff members to empower them to conduct their job related tasks.
- Ensure that all Training Needs Analysis sessions and documentation is completed as per the companies policies and procedure.

**6. Supervisory/Leadership Skills and Duties**
- Managing staff reporting to you, ensure they understand their deliverables and work expectations.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff reporting to you.
- Ensure staff are suitably attired according to the Uniform Policy before commencement of their shift.
- Provide oversight, direction, recognition and development opportunities for the team.
- Communicate a vision, set unit goals for the team, develop strategies and take action to ensure the efficient use of resources is followed through.
- **Essential Qualifications and Experience**:_
- Secondary Qualification: Matric Certificate
- Tertiary Qualification: Enrolled Nurse qualification
- Must be registered with SANC and be in possession of a valid SANC receipt
- Professional Language Proficiency: Read Write and Speak English
- Minimum 2 years experience in nursing, performing all duties required in the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in Dementia Care, advantageous
- Capacity to implement and maintain healthcare standards required in accordance with applicable regulatory bodies and legislation
- Excellent personal hygiene
- **Desired**:_

- Third language will be advantageous
- Drivers license and own transport

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R16,000.00 per month
