2.To provide leadership and administrative support duties common to the administration of short courses
3.To assist in the marketing of short courses and determining the financial viability of short courses
4.To work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure the quality management and delivery of all accredited and non-accredited short courses.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A relevant B Tech/Bachelor’s degree in any business and management studies with focus on project management/coordinating or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years short course coordinating experience as per the KPA’s of the position,
- OR a Master’s qualification in any business and management studies with evidence of a minimum of two (2) years short course coordination experience as per the KPA’s of the position,
- Recommended: Accreditation or certification as a moderator and/or accessor by any of the SETAs and excellent knowledge in short course learning material development, coordination of short courses for Government Departments, Municipalities, SETAs, and State-Owned Enterprises
- Advantage: Knowledge and experience of ITS System, and basic accounting and marketing principles and use of Moodle LMS.
- Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities- Developing learning materials for accredited and non-accredited courses within area of expertise
- Managing facilitators’ facilitation online and in-person
- Managing assessments - formative and summative
- Providing student support
- Reporting as per assessor/internal moderator requirements
- Ensuring that all quality assurance processes are followed
- Coaching and mentoring of students and facilitators as required
- Supervising administrative assistant/s allocated to support the delivery of short courses
- Competencies- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Keyboarding skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Solid decision-making skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to work independently, with limited supervision
- Expertise in customer service
