**Location**: East London. Eastern Cape

**Main purpose of the job** Provide technical assistance, facility-based quality improvement and mentoring to ensure provision of healthcare services for DREAMS and Youth health HIV cascade. Supervision of staff and provision of logistics and planning support for the related services. Monitor and report on the implementation of program activities with regards to DREAMS and Youth Health. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders and support capacity-building activities for facility HIV.

**Key performance areas** - Support district Managers with coordination of successful design, implementation and strengthening of DREAMS and Youth health HIV cascade activities to ensure that the programmes meet set targets in accordance with national and PEPFAR standards. - Design, and implement activities that improve psychosocial support for children, including guidance on age
- and developmentally-appropriate HIV status disclosure, adherence counselling, and support with transitioning from youth to adult health cares. - Promote family-centered clinical appointments and multi-month dispensing (MMD) of ARVs, along with models of service delivery that promote viral suppression for carer-adolescent/ youth pairs. - Support increased uptake and coverage of HIV testing, risk assessment and any other relevant modality to ensure that 100% youth living with HIV are offered safe and ethical HIV testing services. - Oversee, develop, review and ensure implementation of DREAMS and Youth Health care programme policies, procedures and guidelines. - Ensure adherence and compliance with funder rules and requirements in the field of DREAMS and Youth Health - Excellent report writing and presentation skills. - Monitor performance and implementation of the WPs and develop action plan to control risks and address challenges aligned with guideline and document best practices. - Build capacity for quality improvement in DREAMS and Youth Health through training, on-site coaching and support supervision.Support the development of systems for continuous learning, quality improvement methods and tools.

**Required minimum education, training, and technical support**. - Diploma/Degree in General Nursing - NIMART certificate - A valid unendorsed driver’s license.

**Professional body registration **- Current registration with applicable statutory professional body.

**Minimum work experience** - Minimum four years working experience public/private (NGO) sector experience, - Minimum four years working in middle or senior management role. - Minimum four years working experience providing management support for HIV management in DREAMS and Youth health space. - Minimum four years’ experience in program planning, management, and implementation, including experience with the provision of focused DREAMS and Youth health services within the HIV/AIDS/TB program.

**Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities** - MBChB - Masters in Public Health will be an added advantage - Knowledge of HIV and, TB management - Knowledge of differentiated models of care - Knowledge of HIV guidelines and protocols - Excellent time management skills - Supervision and good group management skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage and resolve conflict. - Facilitation skills and able to work independently. - Report writing and interpersonal skills. - Strong administrative and planning skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in English & isiXhosa - Professionalism, customer centered. - Ability to work under pressure and in a diverse environment. - Ability to work independently in a resource limited setting, as well as in a team environment. - Attention to detail. - Self-motivation with high regard for excellence, work ethic, values and integrity.
