People & Culture Manager

The People & Culture Manager is responsible for managing the complete people function to establish an employee-oriented culture of excellent job performance that focuses on growth and development, empowerment, and productivity.
You will establish and drive the Companies talent initiatives as well as lead all HR processes, from our Cape Town office and within the South African region.
**Role description**
**- Provide effective leadership, guidance, development and support
- Supply strategic HR input and direction to senior management
- Implementation of HR Strategy and Policies
- Deliver HR functional excellence across the entire employee lifecycle
- Manage the provision of employee benefits, including third party supplier relationships and renewals
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Develop and implement training and development strategies, including but not limited to annual training and skills development plans and succession planning
- Provide advisory support for management on team development and career development for employees
- Plan and implement remuneration benchmarking and recommend pay actions to attract and retain staff appropriately
- Ensure managers are competent to deliver people management practises
- Responsible for managing all employee relations issues whilst adhering to legal compliance and within business policy
- Maintain all people records in line with Data Protection
- Manage and review HR metrics, and provide monthly and quarterly updates
- Provide support in developing and preparing accurate BBB-EE reporting
- Support with performance management activities and administration, and provide guidance to employees
- Organise and coordinate employee well-being events
- Perform first-level HR query resolution
- Responsible for the accurate reporting of monthly payroll
- Responsible for identifying relevant People risks and the required controls to mitigate such risks
- Provide assistance/timely response to auditor queries
- Formal qualification in Human Resource Management
- Proven track record in a middle to senior HR role
- In depth knowledge of HR & Learning to take ownership of responsibilities
- Previous experience of acting as a trusted adviser, building effective relationships, coaching and consulting with senior stakeholders would be advantageous
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Flexible and committed to development
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement change successfully
- Independent self-managed worker who is eager to grow their skills
- Good all-round knowledge of appropriate employment legislation, regulation and best practice
- Familiarity with using HRIS/LMS platforms
