**SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER**
**AURM MANDATE**
Africa Upper Room Ministries (AURM) is a Ministry that has positioned itself as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) that aims to offer every soul the opportunity to grow holistically through spending time with God every day. Its operations are undertaken in pursuit of growing people’s daily spiritual practice and lifelong journey in the likeness and love of Jesus Christ.
AURM seeks to establish a reciprocal relationship between Africa and the wider world whereby AURM is both a giver and receiver of spiritual resources.
**PURPOSE OF THIS JOB**
Reporting to the General Manager (GM), the role is responsible for leading and driving the Sales and Marketing Strategy designed to achieve maximum effectiveness of the marketing communications and sales plans that promote the company’s brand, increase brand loyalty and consequently increase revenue.
The manager will develop compelling integrated marketing communications (IMC), including the use of digital platforms to build the AURM brand. The Sales and Marketing Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement campaigns that drive sales and grow the brand.
The Manager will also be responsible for enhancing and optimising AURM media and digital presence to increase brand awareness.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will set the departmental budgets and monitor performance. The role will oversee the AURM events and the development and design of all marketing materials for the company.
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
**SALES & MARKETING STRATEGY**
- Developing and driving the overall sales and marketing strategy and targets, aligned with the company’s business strategic objectives
- Creating and executing effective marketing strategies and plans that aims to increase brand awareness and increase revenue
- Developing the sales strategies that aims to sell the company’s products and achieve sales targets and increase client base
- Developing the policies and processes optimisation and ensuring their effective implementation in order to serve the clients efficiently
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing procedures to ensure seamless delivery of products
- Maintaining and expanding AURM customer database
- Conducting the market research and identify new opportunities and markets
- Ensuring the AURM is profitable in the long term
**BRAND MANAGEMENT**
- Implementing marketing strategy for the company’s products, reaching a wide target market and build brand loyalty
- Increasing brand awareness by launching innovative initiatives aimed at promoting a positive image of AURM
- Creating and enforcing effective brand guidelines
- Ensuring that all Marketing campaigns for products and services are inline and consistent with the brand identity
- Ensuring that all marketing materials confirms to the Brand Manual
**DIGITAL MARKETING**
- Maintaining social media presence across all digital channels
- Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
**EVENTS MANAGENT**
- Overseeing the planning and execution of all AURM events including conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions
- Ensuring the participation of AURM at other industry related events, including book events
**MEDIA RELATIONS**
- Building and strengthening relationships with the local media to get favourable coverage for AURM
- Identifying appropriate media channels and messaging
- Incorporating integrated marketing communications, including digital media to ensure presence and create an impact with each initiative’s message
- Brainstorming new and innovative ways to communicate events to the local and international market
**CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIP**
- Building and managing relationships with strategic partners and key stakeholders
- Identifying and evaluating potential partners and donors
- Cultivating strong working relationships with existing and potential client base
- Educating potential customers on AURM’s offerings
- Managing customer queries and complaints
**BUDGETING AND MONITORING**
- Developing the sale and marketing budget and ensuring that all the sales and marketing activities are delivered within the allocated budget and time frames
- Working closely with Finance and Operations Department to monitor product performance and business growth
- Periodically reviewing the sales and marketing budget so that the department does not overspend against the departmental budget
**CONTRACT MANAGEMENT**
- Drawing and managing contracts lifecycle for recurring bulk products / buyers and credit customers
- Keeping track of all business contracts including dates and milestones
**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**
- Recruiting and training of Sales & Marketing team
- Monitoring the performance of team on an on-going basis, conduct performance reviews against agreed goals and ensure effective staff development
