Head of Operations

An amazing opportunity has opened up for a Head of Operations at a Reputable Company based in Cape Town. Reporting to the CEO. Providing leadership, direction and driving operational performance. Experience in the Logistics / Shipping industry required.
- Providing overall leadership for the operation setting operational priorities,
- Accountable for the management and performance of the sales, warehouse, and finance departments
- Work closely with the Senior Management team
- Drive continuous improvement
- Lead the team to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws.
- Implement Group policies and directives and ensure adherence.
- Provide a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring that all employees are engaged and committed.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- A suitable tertiary qualification either Commerce and/or Finance related.
- Self -starter with at least 10 years in a Senior leadership role with extensive experience in financial and operational Management in a **logistics/ shipping company**:

- Must have led a team within a unionized environment
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Responsible and hand on leader
- Analytical and strategic mindset with excellent business and financial acumen.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to interact at all levels.
- Ability to work in a pressurised and deadline driven operating environment.
