Vacancy: Human Resources Internship Programme
Description:
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Degree in Human Resources/Psychology
Responsibilities Include:
1. Assisting with the HR Generalist function:
- Ensure all HR filing is maintained, files are correctly labelled and archived when needed
- Ensure employee files are up to date with relevant information
- Assist with the Health and Safety Audit preparation as and when required
- Assist with generating absenteeism statistics monthly
- Coordinate the entire employee uniform orders for Golf Shirts, Caps, Sun Hats etc. annually
- Coordinate the employee medical checks annually
- Draft notices, memos, staff letters as and when required
- Assist with the Employment Equity Audit as and when required
- Assist with the BBB-EE affidavit preparation
- Minute all HR meetings as and when required i.e., forum meetings, health and safety, employment equity meetings etc.
- Create purchase orders as and when required
2. Assisting with Industrial Relations matters: drafting a warning, warnings recorded, assisting with case preparations for hearings as and when required
3. Assisting with Payroll processes:
- Collect timesheets from the security gate and analyse for any gaps, follow up with employees on missing times and leave forms to be submitted
- Keep accurate records of comments on the timesheet file for payroll processing
- Analyse the leave forms submitted to ensure it is completed correctly
- Review all S&Ts, incentives submitted and create an S&T schedule for payroll processing and submission to finance.
- Print all payroll records for the file for processing as and when required
4. Assisting with Performance Management processes
- Review the personal development plans submitted from employees and create a training plan for the employees on online courses/recommended courses to attend
5. Assisting in Drafting Policies and procedures as and when required
6. Assist with Junior Level Recruitment roles: screening CVs, reference checks, interviewing, new employee documents, inductions
- Assist with being a liaison for internship programmes and queries from the interns/service providers as and when required.
7. Assisting with Team Building Events and Employee Wellness
- Send out birthday messages on the TREE WhatsApp group
- Create Employee Birthday Cards and circulate to the staff for signing
- Assist with Team Building Activities on a quarterly basis
