**Job Description
- Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Management of PIU Time and Attendance
- Analysis if information received form PIU Team members / SAPS and compiling of charts, profiles.
- Management of effective filing system for PIU
- Identify best practices applicable to the role through benchmarking other platinum procedures
- Implementing investigation technologies and equipment approaches that would be effective for the Unit
- Conduct investigations within the Unit
- Build relationships with the community and local law enforcement agencies
- Mentor effective risk management approaches relating to Protection Services
- Input of ideas for Protection Services management decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve Protection Services within the Unit
- Support the development and acceptance of business plans, strategies and SLA’s for Protection Services in the Unit
- Conduct annual, quarterly and acting performance ratings on subordinates
- Participate, support and manage OTTO standards and drive
- Conduct data interrogation, analysis and profiling on crime information related database systems
- Detection of patterns and trends in data related to priority crimes
- Conducting comprehensive reconstruction analyses of identified trends
- Accurate and comprehensive identification of crime threats
- Timely, comprehensive and accurate response to urgent requests
- Ensure discretion and confidentiality
- Adhering to safety, regulations, Acts, Codes of practices and standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- NQF level 5 Qualification in Investigation /Policing/Security/Law and or equivalent, RPL/Prior experience.
- Registered with PSIRA Grade A
- Valid driver’s license code B
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Security or equivalent environment of which 3 years should be in Investigation/ Information Gathering / Surveillance
- Experience in profiling of persons of interest and entities will be advantageous.
- SAP proficiency will be advantageous.
- 3 years experience in supervisory position will be beneficial
- **Knowledge and Skills**
- No criminal record
- Pass polygraph test
- Competent in functional systems used at Platinum Security
- Computer literacy
- Communications in English
- Business reports writing skills
- Statement taking and report writing
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Emergency preparedness and response to various situations
- Knowledge in Investigation / Information gathering
- Knowledge of security related legislation/policies/procedures/standards and VPSHR
- Basic project management skills
- Basic financial skills
- Understanding of SAP system (Supply Chain)
- Understanding and recognition of criminal incident behaviour and suspect profiling
