**Job Description
- Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Ensure the provision of effective surveillance and the generating of effective records and systems.
- Monitor adherence to policies, procedures and standards and notify management of deviations.
- Effective record keeping and administration.
- Monitor and review alarms in high-risk areas and ensure effective alarm systems.
- Operate electronic access, camera and alarm systems to designated standards.
- Address system and equipment faults.
- Recommend changes to procedures, systems and practices to facilitate security measures and client ease of use.
- Evaluate possible steps for the improvement of security measures including lighting, camera positioning and procedures.
- Recommend changes to Organizational practices to assist in making sites more surveillance friendly.
- Other than normal duties:

- Maintain hardware and software of surveillance and technical systems.
- Manage general building maintenance.
- Ensure continuous systems improvement.
- Provide satisfactory customer service.
- Control inventory and perform audits, risk assessments on systems.
- Manage information with general administration, record keeping, reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Code 8 Drivers License
- PSIRA Grade B
- Additional technical certifications/diplomas or short courses in electronics, security systems, or security related fields will be advantageous.
- CCTV Advanced Surveillance Skills and body language Course will be advantageous.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Security or equivalent environment
- 2 years’ experience in Control Room / Surveillance environment will be advantageous
- **Pre-Requisite**
- Psychometric Assessment
- No criminal record
- Pass polygraph test
- Medical Fitness Test
- **Knowledge and Skills**
- Computer literacy
- Extensive experience in the use, managing and maintaining advanced security systems, including knowledge of high-resolution cameras, video analytics software, access control technologies and alarm systems.
- Proficiency in using advanced video analytics tools for real-time threat detection and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret surveillance data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security protocols related to security operations.
- Technical expertise in networking and IT infrastructure to integrate security systems with other security technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional growth and continuous learning.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to critical incidents.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to surveillance system design, privacy, and data protection.
