Assistant Lodge Manager - 5_ Lodge - Eastern Cape_*

A luxurious 5-star lodge located in the Eastern Cape is seeking a skilled and experienced **Assistant Lodge Manager** to join their team.

This is a **live-in position (excluding meals)**, operating on a **3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation schedule**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and enhance overall guest satisfaction, addressing special requests and feedback from platforms like Guest Revu and TripAdvisor.
- Assist the Lodge Manager in managing day-to-day service operations and oversee lodge functions in their absence.
- Maintain and elevate service standards, ensuring the lodge team delivers exceptional guest experiences.
- Coordinate departmental teams to optimise guest service delivery.
- Conduct targeted training sessions to develop the technical and soft skills of the lodge team.
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and standards for lodge operations.
- Manage cash handling processes and ensure stock control.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure lodge equipment is well-maintained through preventative maintenance measures.

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management.
- A minimum of **3-5 years of experience in a 5-star establishment** in roles such as Assistant Lodge Manager, Duty Manager, or Guest Relations Manager.
- A valid **driver’s licence** (essential).

**Competencies**:

- Proven lodge management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of **POS/PMS systems**.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
