Duties/Pligte
- Receiving walk-in clients and handling telephonic reports and enquiries;
- Receiving all reports and recording these onto an electronic database;
- Coordinating the book / register for checking in and out, receipt of equipment and enquiries by contract security personnel;
- Receiving deliveries as well as lost and found items, and tracking down the owners of these items;
- Serving as enquiry and reference point for Stellenbosch University (SU), Tygerberg Campus;
- Serving as contact and reference point wherever the University community requires support or emergency services;
- Managing and monitoring the charging of two-way radio batteries that are in use;
- Recording "In and Out" booking of and condition of logístical resources;
- Monitoring CCTV cameras used by the University;
- Monitoring of the alarm system used by the University;
- Dispatching complains to an operational member (patrol leader, patrol officer, security officer);
- Updating and keeping the leader abreast of all incidents.
- Ontvang instapkliënte en hanteer telefoniese aanmeldings en navrae;
- Ontvang alle rapporterings en meld dit aan op die elektroniese databasis;
- Koördineer die in
- en uittekeningsboek / -register, neem toerusting in ontvangs, asook navrae deur kontraksekuriteitspersoneel;
- Ontvang aflewerings, verlore en gevonde items, en spoor die eienaars van verlore goedere op;
- Dien as navraag
- en verwysingspunt vir die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US), Tygerbergkampus;
- Dien as kontak
- en verwysingspunt waar die Universiteit-gemeenskap bystands
- of nooddienste benodig;
- Bestuur en monitering van die laai van batterye van alle twee-rigting handradios wat in gebruik is;
- Monitering van die WhatsApp toepassing en reageer op versoeke / aanmeldings;
- Rekordhouding van "In
- en Uit-" neem van alle logistieke hulpbronne en toestand van die items;
- Monitering van kringtelevisie wat deur die Universiteit gebruik word;
- Monitering van die alarmstelsel wat deur die Universiteit gebruik word;
- Stuur klagtes na 'n operasionele lid (patrollieleier, patrolliebeampte, sekuriteitsbeampte);
- Hou leier op hoogte van alle voorvalle.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12), or equivalent qualification;
- Valid registration with PSIRA;
- Three or more years' proven security and control room experience;
- Grade C to E security training;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Contactable work related references;
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
- No criminal record;
- Good health;
- Willingness to work shifts;
- Willingness to provide extra services as required from time to time;
- Own transport to and from work;
- A valid Code EB driver's licence;
- Related client-service training;
- The ability to compile reports and documents in MS Word and Excel;
- Knowledge and experience in using an electronic reporting system;
- Knowledge and experience in using CCTV camera systems;
- Knowledge and experience in using alarm systems;
- Experience at a tertiary or similar institution.
- 'n Senior Sertifikaat (Graad 12) of gelykwaardige kwalifikasie;
- Geldige registrasie by PSIRA;
- Drie of meer jaar se bewese sekuriteits
- en beheerkamerervaring;
- Graad C tot E sekuriteitsopleiding;
- Uitstekende mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
- Kontakbare werkverwante verwysings;
- Rekenaargeletterdheid, met vaardigheid in MS Outlook, Word en Excel;

- Goeie gesondheid;
- Bereidwilligheid om skofte te werk;
- Bereidwilligheid om ekstra dienste te verrig soos van tyd tot tyd vereis word;
- Eie vervoer van en na werksplek;

- Verwante kliëntediensopleiding;
- Die vermoë om verslae en dokumente in MS Word en Excel op te stel;
- Kennis en ervaring in die gebruik van 'n elektroniese aanmeldingstelsel;
- Kennis en ervaring in die gebruik van kringtelevisiestelsels;
- Kennis en ervaring in die gebruik van alarmstelsels;
- Ervaring by 'n tersiêre of soortgelyke instelling.
