The Rooms Division Manager is responsible to oversee the management of Operations of
- Room Reservations, with specific focus on Revenue Management
- Front Office including Switchboard
- Housekeeping Responsibilities including Maintenance Duties
- Guest Services including Concierge duties

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the day to day operations and ensuring all departments SOPs are in place and consistently followed.

Leading the various Head of Departments to meet business targets and deliver exceptional guest service

**To ensure quality guest service, the Rooms Divisions Manager is expected to**:

- Manages Revenue from reservations and helps to set room rates and budget forecasts to maximise room revenue
- Managing expenses based on key performance indicators
- Strategizes on room pricing policies to increase or maximise sales/room revenue
- Oversees Cash, Credit card and other financial tasks carried out in the front office
- In a Sales and Marketing capacity, be responsible for maximizing the property’s revenue, through developing programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of the accommodation, meeting, and leisure facilities
- Assisting Reservations to drive consistent performance, quality, and service standards across all outlets to ensure the guest expectations are consistently met or, where possible, exceeded.
- Assist with Rooms Division Inventory management
- Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills whilst encouraging safe and efficient hotel operations
- Serve as a general guest information source. Act as a salesperson for the Hotel
- Build rapport with guests, distinguished visitors; escort guests to rooms as necessary, encourage feedback throughout their stay
- Directs institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment.
- Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff, and plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment, and submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
- Responsible for all fixed assets, stock and equipment in relation to Housekeeping
- Resolve complaints, according to guest requirements as quickly and effectively as possible
- Assist with site inspections, if and when necessary
- Communicate continuously to the team, providing a consistent message reinforcing the brand & culture

**Job Requirements**
- Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality / Hotel Management
- 5 Years Rooms Division Management experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel, of which at least 2 years’ experience as Senior or Executive Management
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours and schedules, including weekend, public holidays and late shifts
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Opera or similar systems (Apex used currently)
- Strong leadership skills
- Critical attention to detail in standards
- Be deadline driven and manage projects successfully
- Must reside in Stellenbosch, if not willing to relocate
- Covid 19 Vaccinated
- The salary on offer will be between R30 and R35k gross per month, dependant on experience (no benefits), with a start date as soon as possible
- Must live in surounding area of Stellenbosch
