Camp Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Warmly welcome and check-in all guests.
- Coordinate daily activities and transfers for guests of all ages.
- Ensure guest experiences align with Kwandwe Guest Experience guidelines, fulfilling special needs and requests.
- Host all meals and guest events.
- Handle daily, weekly, and monthly administrative duties, including month-end tasks.
- Manage operational and bar stock through regular stock takes and maintaining control.
- Prepare weekly financial and operational reports for the General Manager.
- Participate in the weekly HOD (Head of Department) Meeting.
- Oversee staff management, including recruitment, induction, rosters, attendance, performance, training, team spirit, reward, and recognition.
- Actively support Kwandwe's conservation and community initiatives.
- Ensure the lodge operates safely at all times, prioritizing the safety of guests and staff.
- Report and follow up on lodge maintenance issues.
**Specific Job Skills**:
- Strong guest relations abilities, including effective influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent guest, staff, and lodge management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front Office operations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical fitness to handle extended working hours.
- Attention to detail and high energy levels.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Proactive in seeking ways to improve operations.
- Appreciation of other cultures, and fluency in other languages is an advantage.
- Excellent people skills, particularly in motivating staff.
**Requirements**:
- Proficiency in IT and numeracy.
- Computer literacy, with excellent skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with Pastel, Semper, or similar software.
- Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading skills).
- Sound arithmetic skills for counting quantities, using percentages, understanding tables, and interpreting graphs in reports.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and understanding of the company's operations.
- Familiarity with resources and suppliers.
- Stay updated on industry and world developments.
- Capable of evaluating and prioritizing projects.
**Management Ability**:
- Flexibility in handling dynamic situations.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Proven leadership and management qualities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
- A qualification in Hospitality, Hotel, or Lodge Management is advantageous.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in 5-star game lodges, preferably in a senior lodge manager or higher position.
- Valid Code 8 Driver's license is essential.
- Ability to live on-site at the lodge in a semi-furnished flat.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance, including electrical and water supply.
- Extensive knowledge of cleaning practices and keen attention to detail.
