**Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic, driven and highly competent Senior Lodge Anchor who will provide relief at our lodges. Two weeks at a time will be spent at each of two lodges in the absence of the Lodge Managers and Retail and Admin Manager**
***Key Performance Areas**
**_ Relief for Lodge Managers (two lodges)_**
- Ensure all lodge areas, front of house, back of house are always impeccably clean and tidy
- Effectively coordinate all guest events and daily lodge operations
- Be readily available to deal with all guest queries and complaints, responding in a pleasant and constructive manner, using feedback as a learning experience and platform for constructive discussion
- Reduce accidents and ensure that all safety hazards are addressed with potential problems communicated to the General Manager
- Provide effective leadership through professional management, mediation and encouragement of all subordinates
- Ensure that staff training programmes are maintained
- Demonstrate and promote flexibility and adaptability towards changing working hours and shifts according to the requirements of a 24-hour operation
- Respond to changes in your job function as dictated by industry, the company and the property
**_Relief for Retail and Admin Manager _**
- Ensure correct and timeous completion of all weekly/monthly financial reports
- Monitor and ensure correct allocation and posting of all payments for advance deposits and guest payments
- Ensure correct batching of all department invoices with submission to MORE Support Office for payments
- Check and sign off petty cash
- Monitor, control and drive shop sales, pricing and stock control
- Maintain full responsibility of the retail stock in the store including costs, storage, losses, discrepancies, and expired stock items
- Ensure that POS is efficiently operated
- Conduct mid-month and month-end stock takes, ensuring that requisition procedures are strictly and accurately followed according to par levels and company standards
- Compile financial reports and report any irregularities to the General Manager
- Be readily available to deal with guest queries and complaints
- Ensure that necessary stocks are ordered according to quality and quantity and are available according to company standards
- Ensure monthly gratuities are correctly allocated, signed off, summarised and forwarded to payroll at month-end by each Finance Administrator
- Ensure correct allocation, purchase and sales of stock bins on PANstrat
***Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Experience**
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management (advantageous)
- Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Administrative and financial competence
- Strong managerial, organisational and administrative skills
- Sound knowledge of stock procedures and control
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar positions
- Previous 5-star management experience essential
- Excellent knowledge of overall hospitality operations systems
- Valid driver’s licence
