A growing boutique agency in the Activations/Youth Marketing space has an exciting opportunity for a Group Account Director (GAD) or Business Unit Director (BUD) at their Johannesburg office.

The Group Account Director is required to with senior members of the team and agency to develop and execute campaigns of outstanding quality, on time and on budget, for the clients. As the single point of accountability for either one large account or a set of accounts, the GAD is responsible for leading complex business projects, having line of sight of multiple project tracks and teams, while keeping up to date on daily project activities.

In this role you will be responsible for financial performance and profitability of their client engagements.

The agency works through-the-line with a focus on Campaign Strategy, Social Media and Influencer Campaigns, Content Production and Content Marketing Campaigns, Social Media Management (Content production & Community Management) and Events, Activations and Experiential (From concept to execution). **Responsibilities**:
Client Relationship & Management
- Client relationship management as the day-to-day client contact, with the support and oversight of an CEO on assigned campaigns and projects.
- Comfortably engage clients regardless of position and seniority from C-suite to administrative support staff.
- Be the client or brand custodian within the agency ecosystem by making sure that the agency is effectively delivering creative solutions that solve the clients’ business problems.
- Ability to understand the client’s business, whatever market sector and be able to discuss professionally and strategically with the client.
- Seek opportunities to develop more business opportunities for your client(s), utilising additional services whenever possible.
- Ensure client relationships are healthy at all levels.
- Manage, participate, and lead client satisfaction or relationship surveys, reviews, or engagements.
- Ensure understanding of the relevant client contract and relevant legal/regulatory guidelines.
- Provide dedicated account management to our clients throughout the full lifecycle of campaigns.
- Manage client expectations in terms of timings, reverts, and deadlines.
- Schedule, attend and lead where applicable client meetings, presentations, reviews.
- Maintain, update, and disseminate status reports to clients as well as run status meeting with client.
- Effectively manage the delivery of creative project within budget parameters and on time.
- Timeously and effectively manage complaints, flag risks, and resolve client issues effectively and proactively, with the oversight of CEO or GAD.
- Inspire and drive standout creative output from team and be a champion for standout creative work within the agency and engage in conversation with and have a point of view around creative work both internally and with client.

Briefing
- Receive and send timeous acknowledgement of client briefs to client.
- Query client briefs to make sure that objectives (business objectives and communication objectives) are clearly articulated understood and outlined by yourself as well as the team.
- Interpret and write clear agency briefs and debriefs that are submitted timeously into the agency system (Chase).
- Write accurate briefs and debriefs for production.

Operations & Processes
- Must understand basic creative formats, processes, and delivery of formats across channels: ATL (TV, radio, OOH), BTL, social, influencer, digital and direct marketing (CRM) creative outputs and processes related to the delivery of this outputs.
- Be familiar with agency & client processes to deliver campaigns / projects or a piece of creative across various channels (ATL, BTL, digital and social).
- Generate and manage the client facing project / campaign timing plan based on internal delivery project timeline created in collaboration with internal teams and agency partners, where applicable.
- Be familiar with agency production processes to deliver across channels (ATL, BTL, digital and social).
- Develop, present, implement and manage tactical plans for client programs. Lead technical implementation process from client introduction to campaign launch.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise ad campaigns to reach client KPIs while addressing day-to-day client requests.

Financial Management/Wellbeing
- Scope costs for basic creative projects and campaigns.
- Keep an accurate view of their timesheets as well as monitor the time spent on jobs / campaigns by other team members.
- Manage campaign / project / retainer budgets and complete budget reconciliations.
- Flag up over-servicing or other financial risks and planning on how to manage these situations in a timely manner.
