An opportunity exists for an exceptional **Barista **to join the department on **1 June 2023**

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Matric
- Food and Beverage certificate is an advantage.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Barista.
- English (Grade 12) comprehension and writing skills are required in order to understand requisitions, and work instructions, converse with customers and service providers.
- Basic Numeracy skills: able to conduct a basic report, to complete HR staff records - at least a literacy level of NQF level of ABET 4, but preferably above.
- The ability to work under pressure, prioritise and schedule workflows.
- A sound work ethic, good people skills, and a positive attitude are important requirements for the job.
- Attention to detail, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and calm nature, customer service oriented with the ability to deal with challenging customers.
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the schools.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**D**uties (not an exhaustive list)**:

- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, and speciality beverages.
- Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers.
- Servicing customers and taking orders.
- Ordering, receiving, and distributing stock supplies.
- Receiving and processing customer payments.
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, seating areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Handling card payments /SnapScan.
