**Minimum Requirements**:
**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Relevant qualification
- At least 8 years technical experience
- At least 3 years management experience
- Excellent preparation and planning skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- A depth of understanding in the building maintenance field
- Very strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize
- A willingness to support and mentor and to be mentored
- Highly effective leadership abilities
- The intention to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications, and policies

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**D**uties (not an exhaustive list)**:

- Ensure that all buildings and infrastructure are well cared for, maintained, secured and are in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and train the maintenance team; evaluate workloads and reassign job functions for more efficient operation
- Lead and manage the maintenance department
- Manage all administrative functions relevant to the departments requirements
- Audit buildings and facilities on a regular basis and compile records of inspections
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies for maintenance, and emergency preparedness
- Maintain owner manuals/information, asset lists, schedules and maintenance records
- Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the school
- Respond appropriately to emergency problems and be available on-call when necessary
- Manage and maintain the Maintenance department budget
