The Project Coordinator in the construction industry supports the Project Manager and project team in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves administrative duties, scheduling, communication with stakeholders, and ensuring that project activities are aligned with timelines and budgetary constraints. Combination of office work and on site visits.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Project Planning and Scheduling**:

- Assist in the development of project plans and schedules.
- Track project timelines and milestones, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to update and adjust project schedules as needed.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
- Compile and distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, drawings, and specifications.
- **Communication and Coordination**:

- Serve as a liaison between the project manager, construction team, subcontractors, and clients.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
- **Resource Management**:

- Coordinate the delivery and use of materials and equipment.
- Track inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Assist in managing project budgets and expenditures.
- **Compliance and Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Support quality assurance efforts by monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise.
- Assist in the implementation of safety protocols and procedures on the construction site.
- **Problem Solving and Issue Resolution**:

- Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve any project-related issues promptly.
- Support the project manager in handling changes and unforeseen challenges.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the construction industry.
- **Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Must have own car

Must be immediately available

Must reside in Cape Town
