Our Client is a rapidly growing startup within the community of a well known Crypto Media Channel, dedicated to providing crypto education to a global audience. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Data to lead their data-driven initiatives and ensure the efficient operation of their verification processes with exchange partners. As the Head of Data, you will play a crucial role in shaping their data strategy, implementing systems, and collaborating with various teams to drive their success.

They are looking for a Head of Data to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to make the company a data-driven organization
- Design and implement the necessary systems, tools, and infrastructure to collect, store, analyze, and visualize data effectively
- Collaborate with exchange partners as the main technical point of contact to automate the student verification process and ensure a seamless experience
- Investigate and optimize the verification process to minimize potential points of failure and enhance efficiency
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive decision-making and improve operational performance
- Utilize statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams to gather data requirements and develop data-driven solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and provide recommendations for improvement

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science
- At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in a startup environment or a fast-paced industry
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
- Strong experience working with APIs and SQL databases for data extraction and manipulation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies
- Understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel, along with tracking implementation best practices
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with product, marketing, and engineering teams
- A passion for crypto education and a genuine desire to contribute to our mission of making crypto mainstream through education
