Head
**Requirements**:
- A relevant professional qualification (B degree/First degree.
- At least 8 years relevant experience.
- A proven track record of experience in leading and managing a
staff complement responsible for the provision of an accurate
billing function.
- A proven track record of being responsible for implementing
relevant short and long term strategies and policies, team
productivity, quality targets, and customer service, as it relates
to customer billing, accurate meter reading, and data
management.
- A proven track record of experience in managing the continuous
improvement of billing processes, service standards, and
technology, ensuring that these keep abreast with national and
international standards and best practices.
- Utilities/ water services experience will be an advantage.
- A valid driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
- Identifying and defining the immediate, short, and long term
objectives related to providing a customer billing services function
for the Water Services Branch to ensure that critical performance
indicators are identified, implemented, and monitored.
- Providing strategic leadership and personnel management
- Managing the accurate billing of customers by ensuring that the
data required for billing is accurate, processed timeously, and
ensuring that water consumption is accounted for accurately.
- Managing the meter reading programme by ensuring that all
meters are read on a monthly basis so that the invoices that are
rendered are based on accurate actual meter readings resulting
in a high level of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring billing services related data, including SAP master data
and statistics, are accurately maintained and reported on.
- Managing the day to day operations of the Section.
