A small to medium sized law firm located in Claremont is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join our team and support our finance specialist.

**General Responsibilities**:
The Junior Bookkeeper will be primarily tasked with:

- Verifying and authorizing payments
- Managing trust accounting
- Ensuring meticulous bookkeeping and adherence to accounting standards
- Handling banking across all major banks
- Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a bookkeeper
- Prior experience in bookkeeping within the legal sector, particularly with trust accounting, is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Ghost Practice or similar practice management systems is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Tech-savvy, adept at Office 365, and quick to learn and utilize new software
- Ability to work autonomously
- Trustworthy and adaptable
- Strong systems thinking, capable of identifying process improvements
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and humility
- Given the high-trust nature of the role, solid references are a prerequisite.
