**Abbott Core Laboratories division** provides diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

**Primary Objective of Position**
- Inventory management of Technical Service Spare Parts Warehouse and ADD Workshop.
- Responsible for safe storage of products in the Technical Service Spare Parts warehouse.
- Responsible for inventory receipt and dispatch in an accurate manner
- Conforming to Abbott policies and procedures on inventory management and shipping
- Stock counts on a quarterly basis
- Replenishment of spare on a daily basis to meet business needs
- Provide support to order entry team

**Major responsibilities**:
Warehouse Management
- Ensures that all products are stored correctly and safely in their designated bin locations.
- Monitor’s expiration dates of stock
- Scheduled stock takes for spares warehouse and workshop on a quarterly basis
- Also does stock counts and confirmation on daily basis on current movement
- Work with Team Leaders on spare part inventory management
- Work with Team Leaders on new procedures to improve inventory control and management
- Collates and dispatches rebatable spare parts to ADD GmbH according to Abbott procedure

Inventory Receipt and Dispatch
- Goods received from Delkenheim and local suppliers are checked and receipted into stock.
- All ADD non-inventory goods are received into BPCS inventory referencing the Purchase Order
- Number as per the Goods Received Voucher (GRV) process.
- Delivers system accessories or spare parts to local customers/FSEs in the Gauteng area.
- Dispatches spare parts and accessories to Coastal FSEs & Other Africa countries
- Logistics - Import and Export compliant distribution. Ensure compliance to all applicable government legislation (e.g. customs and duty, export documentation requirements etc)
- Delivers emergency spares to airport for shipment to coastal FSEs
- Processes air waybills daily
- Prepares Pro Forma and/or Tax invoices for spare part shipments across RSA borders
- Assists with the packaging of instruments on-site for shipment purposes.

SPOC Ordering
- Spare part control and replenishment
- Ensures that stock is replenished on a weekly basis
- Daily ordering, receiving, monitoring, adjusting and spare part replenishment to FSEs and contractors.
- Interfacing with Team Leaders on SPOC adjustment and reporting.
- Provide Team Leaders with daily SPOC Adjustment reports.**Locally Sourced Products**
- Places orders with Team Leaders for locally sourced accessories e.g. printers and Uninterruptible Power Supply
- Responsible for controlling the repairs to locally sourced products
- Responsible for the control and calibration of all measuring equipment

Waste Management
- Ensure the safe storage of damaged/redundant equipment until destruction/disposal is arranged
- Regular release of damaged/redundant equipment for safe destruction/disposal

Housekeeping
- Ensures that the spare parts warehouse is kept clean and dust free
- Ensures that the spare parts warehouse is always securely locked, and products are not tampered with or damaged

**Financial Accountability**
- Responsible for FSE spare part kit (boot stock) and warehouse inventory management
- Supports Technical Service financial strategies through shared impact goals to:

- Eliminate spare part obsolescence.
- Eliminate errors when doing SPOC adjustments
- Eliminate errors when dispatching spare parts to FSEs/Service Support Contractors
- Increase accuracy of stock counts.

**Customer Relationship Management**
- Responsible for the maintenance of a professional business relationship with the following customers:

- Laboratory Managers / Head of Departments
- Laboratory Technologists / Technicians

**Compliance**
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System
- Complies with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, customers, colleagues and/or the environment
