Our Cape Town HR department is looking to add an open-minded, eager and passionate graduate to their team as an HR Intern as part of a 1-year Internship. You will be exposed to a broad range of HR activities and general office management. **You’re perfect for this position if you**:

- Are a recent graduate with a HR-related degree
- Are able to multi-task and remain calm in a high-pressure, demanding environment
- Have outstanding communication skills
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Are able to take initiative, be self-motivated and proactive
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have an ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Are structured and organised with good time management skills
- Are computer literate and have experience using MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Are a happy, quick and willing learner
- Are creative and have a flair for coordinating events

**Your role and responsibilities**:
Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:

- Having a good understanding and knowledge of our company policies
- Assisting the HR team with all HR administration, which will include:

- Administration and coordination of all staff files
- Updating the company’s internal platform with employee details
- Assisting with recruitment, which will include:

- Posting internal and external job adverts
- Setting up interviews
- Coordinating recruitment tests
- Reference and MIE background checks
- Drafting of offer letters
- Other ad hoc HR duties:

- One-week reviews
- Absence management
- Onboarding of new starters and offboarding of leavers
- Coordinating social events; social corporate responsibility events and year-end functions
- Reception duties:

- Answering client calls that come through reception
- Office management and maintenance
- Dealing with external couriers
- Ordering supplies
- Liaising with all suppliers
