You’re a fresh starter, so there's a lot to learn and a lot to be taught. You’ll be a part of an immediate HR team - this includes working with direction from the HR Lead. Besides you acting as the support function for the team as well as the HR Team Lead, you’ll provide your administrative skills to the wider People and Talent department. So maybe your team is greater than you thought - but just as much as you support us, we support you - you’re not alone.
You'll learn to provide administrative and other assistance to the HR department in order to support local Managers to help them continue to and enhance the Content and Cloud culture.
It's a life of understanding people, policies and procedures. A picture of what your role looks like is,
- Administration around all HR policies, procedures and practices and ensuring they are in line with SA Labour legislation
- Assist in administrative functions with regards to Content and Cloud’s Employment Equity plans
- Onboarding new employees (first day meet and greet)
- Administrative management of the benefits package and liaise with suppliers (e.g., medical aid and pension providers) and promote internally
- Aid employees around any HR related queries i.e., leave, benefits etc.
- Create and maintain statutory HR documentation
- Maintain employee information on the HR system
- Payroll administrative duties
- Administrative support in leaver process (Benefits deactivation, account deactivation)
- Other administration duties as and when required by your Line Manager
- Assistance in the Cape Town Social committee helping to organize events
- Assist with internal comms for the Cape Town office
- Provide intelligence on local HR and employment laws, practices, and local/national government initiatives
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as requested
You’re educated to degree level in HR Management, Industrial Psychology or related - so you're book smart. You’re no IT whizz and that’s perfectly fine, some good experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook will have you hit the ground running once you step in this role. Anything else we feel need some work; you can count on the team to show you the ropes.
You’re in contact with many different people throughout the business, this means you’re personable and great at communication (written and verbal). You’ve got an eye for detail and trust in your problem-solving skills - this role will put all your current skills to the test and develop some new ones. Are you ready to evolve? This role pays a basic stipend of** R6,000 **per month
