**Our client is a manufacturing concern (fastners) and they are looking for a Sales Rep for the West Rand.**
- **CRITERIA**
- Minimum Matric
- Preferred post matric qualification in either Sales or a Technical Field
- Proven experience in a similar environment (Sales in Fastners/Hardware)
- Must have knowledge of the products sold by the Company.
- Drivers license and own reliable vehicle
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of ERP / CRM systems such as Syspro, Microsoft Navision, or similar
- Refer to Departmental Competency Matrix

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Good numeric skills
- Able to work independently

**JOB Responsibilities**
- Call on existing and potential new Customers, actioning any outstanding “To Do’s” and provide feedback on all visits - enter Interaction Logs at the end of each day. Schedule follow up visits.
- Pursue opportunities for new business to ensure continuous growth through building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
- Secure orders from at least 2 new Customers per month.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing Customers, visiting as required to ensure Customer Satisfaction.
- Promote sales by differentiation of Company Products and Service - Use Technical Department and Quality Department as required.
- Identify new product possibilities.
- Liaise closely with Internal Sales, ensuring that quotations are submitted timeously and there is regular follow up on outstanding quotes and orders.
- Ensure customers are fully appraised of all related issues surrounding pricing, products and delivery and that all correspondence from Customers is responded to timeously.
- Understand and implement pricing structure as required.
- Follow up on quotes submitted to Customers.
- Review outstanding orders and communicate with Customers - ensure that Customers are advised when an order will be overdue.
- Interact with the Factory and/or Warehouse regarding production progress / stock availability and delivery.
- Resolve Customer complaints by investigating the issue, developing a solution and make recommendations to management or direct to Customer if appropriate.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential sales volumes of Customers.
- Monitor competition, gather market place information on pricing, products, new products, delivery lead times.
- Pull reports from CRM and action all outstanding items, e.g. Overdue quotes.
- Weekly reporting and feedback meeting on Sales activities, pipeline, outstanding orders and outstanding quotes.
- Discuss and agree sales targets.
- Develop budgets in consultation with Directors each June for the forthcoming year.
- Review Actual Sales vs Budgeted Sales each month.
- Ensure that Customer information on NAV is complete including all contacts, and agreed budgets and pricing categories.
