My client in the Events industry is looking for a full-time Events Technical Project Manager to join and lead their operations team based at a leading Events and Conference Centre in Cape Town.

The Project Managers are responsible for managing all production aspects and logistics of medium to large-scale events, while working closely with, and supported by the team onsite as well as the bigger group team. Leadership, planning and teamwork is the key to this role and the overall success of our event projects. **Responsibilities**:

- Review upcoming events and help coordinate crew and equipment needs with your team.
- Direct event technicians in preparing and executing live and virtual events.
- Organise and review show information and materials in advance of event
- Collaborate on event production to continually enhance overall quality of services offered.
- Work closely with the operations manager, other project managers and warehouse manager.
- Build positive working relationships with the centre event management and support staff and clients alike.
- Follow and maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for event management and operational functions.
- Fulfil other duties as assigned to ensure success of all events.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience with setup and operation of a variety of AV systems including video switching, projection, line array audio and smart light programming.
- Experience with rigging for lights and sound.
- Ability to manage an AV crew onsite to maintain efficiency and maximise resources.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, politely and promptly responding to all internal and external requests.
- Computer proficiency and a good working knowledge of Google Workspace, printers, basic computer interfacing and computer networking.
- Must have high attention to detail, excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to embrace our culture and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times and be willing to adhere to our company’s appearance and grooming guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours, long hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays, if and when needed.
