**SHEQ Officer needed in Boschkop.**
- Any form of Degree within the Safety Field/ Risk Assessment etc.
- First Aid.
- Legal Liability.
- SAMTRAC.
Safety Auditing Certification.
Mine Health and Safety Act - Diploma/ Course Attendance/ Certification/ Degree (COMSOC 1 & COMSOC 2 - Acceptable).
Matric.

**Salary**: R 25 000 - R 30 000 monthly. Additional benefits will be discussed in interview.
5 Years minimum working experience.
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word & Microsoft PowerPoint - All on intermediate to advance level.
**MUST have vast Safety Knowledge in**:
Construction Industry, Exploration and Geotechnical Drilling, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Engineering of Drill Rigs & equipment, Mining Commodities (Diamond, Gold, Palladium, Iron Ore / Coal)
**General Requirements**:
Strong planning, organisation & monitoring abilities.
Respond quickly to changing situations & works well under pressure whilst maintaining individual team effectiveness.
**Advantageous**:
- Logistical background.
- Purchasing Knowledge.
- Procurement experience.
**Advanced knowledge & experience in ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001 (Certification would be an advantage).**
Risk Assessment.
**Duties (not limited to)**:
- Integrated SHERQ system development.
- Risk assessment.
- Aspect registers.
- Safe operating procedure writing.
- Implement safety, health, environmental, risk & quality Management Systems.
- Recruit and placement of skilled & unskilled employees.
- Implement of Human Recourse systems.
- Plan & execute daily, weekly, monthly activities.
- Asset Management (planned maintenance).
- Handling of hazardous & non-hazardous goods.
- Manage infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments & baseline risk assessments.
- Plan task observations.
- Procedure & job description writing.
- Write operating instructions.
- Conduct incident investigations & reports.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Compile environmental impact studies & reports.
- Conduct green area meetings & safety hazards.
- Review SHERQ policies / procedures.
- Ensure all required licenses are up to date & documented.
- Handle the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Register.
- Issue PPE (PPE inspections).
- Conduct vehicle, equipment, harness & first aid kit inspections.
- Control documentation.
- Conduct ISO Internal Audits
- Audit & evaluate Management Systems.
- Presentation of audit reports.
- Implement & development all SHERQ systems.
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001 Certification.
- Implement the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Conduct safety awareness training (in-house).
- Compile maintenance schedules & reports.
- Investigate SHERQ & security incidents.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
