Business Banking Relationship Manager

The incumbent will be responsible in building banking relationships with new businesses, working with existing business clients to expand the financial services they use, and ensuring products and services meet clients' needs. The incumbent will be responsible for the portfolio of small, medium enterprises (transactional as well as credit).
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate with Regional Managers and Senior Management and develop various strategies for business development.
- Manage and provide comprehensive banking services on all small and mid-size businesses.
- Maintain sales pipeline, keep track of same and maintain good relationships with present clients.
- Formulate the collection of applicant financial data and provide solutions to cater to the business needs.
- Manage cross selling of bank products and services to business clients.
- Ensure compliance to all policies and regulations and address any business related issue.
- Execute various audit points within timeframe and ensure that all client engagements are within the conduct rules of the bank.
- Develop and provide enhancement to present banking services and products to enhance the banks presence within the communities we serve.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business clients and initiate growth strategies to build FMB’s Business Banking department.
- Analyze customer data and recommend appropriate banking products.
- Participate and report to various committees on business growth and new initiatives.
- Maintain high quality of all banking assets such as business credit facilities.
- Ensure optimal levels of customer service at all times.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communication, or a similar field.
- Experience as a Relationship Manager, in customer service, or a similar role. Ability to build and maintain strong client and business relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of (CRM) Customer Relationship Management and Market Conduct
**Experience**:
- Total of 5 - 7 years commercial banking experience, of which 3 years is managing commercial relationships.
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- A background in customer service or sales is essential with good networks being beneficial.
- Experience in problem solving and taking ownership for dispute resolution.
- Accurate and strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player with good people management skills.
- Composed and confident to interact with internal and external Senior Executives
- Strong time management skills and ability to comply with strict deadlines and ability to work in a busy and strenuous environment.
- Good communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Action orientated and solution driven.
- Strategic thinker and ability to analyze and solve problems quickly.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Must possess superior customer service skills proven marketing and sales skills.
- Applies knowledge of banking products and services to meet customer needs and enable them to achieve their financial goals.
- Ability to understand core business products and services.
