Qualification(s):

- Supply Chain & Logistics Diploma/Degree or Industrial Engineering Diploma/Degree (Advantage)

Computer Skills:

- Essential: Warehouse Management Systems experience
- Advantage: Experience as a CMMS Key User, EWM-system experience (e.g., SAP)

Job-related Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' logistics experience
- Operations: 2-3 years' experience in Inbound & Outbound logistics, Warehouse Processes, Part supply through Sequencing
- Supervisory Management: 3-5 years' experience leading a team in a warehouse operations environment
- Compliance: 1-2 years' experience in compliance management (Advantageous)
- Commercial: 1-2 years' experience in managing service delivery to clients as per SLA, understanding of KPIs and standards (Advantageous)
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of effective Root Cause Analysis and implementation of Corrective and Preventative Measures
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Stress and Conflict Management: Ability to manage conflict, cope with stress, and work effectively under pressure
- Availability: Able to work extended hours and weekends
- Transport: Must have reliable transport
- Independence: Ability to work independently
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with a results-oriented focus

Added Advantages for this Role:

- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints)
- Experience with CMMS, Movis, SKS, SAP
- Project Management skills

Main Purpose of the Role:

- Ensure contract adherence in terms of client relations, operational performance, commercial and financial performance, people management, and development
- Manage a team of 50-100 employees
- Uphold DSV standards, policies, and procedures
- Support and develop services and solutions for the Automotive industry

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountability and leadership for operations in Gauteng
- Meeting customer SLAs
- Compliance with DSV standards, including SHERQ and Quality Management System
- Drive operational performance improvement and synergies within operations
- Ensure site compliance for Safety, Quality, and Delivery
- Manage client relationships and ensure SLA compliance
- Claims investigation and reporting
- Actively manage daily operational performance and continuous improvement
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and address failures or complaints
- Assist in achieving monthly KPI targets and reporting
- Ensure operational readiness for launch activities
- Perform other duties as required by the Branch Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Develop and motivate the direct team
- Ensure training and development to close skills gaps
- Manage team behavior and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Provide relevant information and hold direct reports accountable for their outputs

People Management:

- Performance measurement and management of the team
- Manage team in line with DSV Values, Policies and Procedures, and employment regulations
- Effective resourcing and resolution of IR issues
- Coaching, mentoring, and training to achieve client objectives
- Implement IDP and succession plans for critical roles

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Logistics: 2 years (required)
- Automotive warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- Warehouse management system: 1 year (preferred)
- management: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management degree (preferred)
