Head of Sales

Our client, a leading payments service provider, has an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute individual with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and lead a Sales team to initiate and implement innovative solutions.

**Key performance areas will include**:
Manage the Client Relationship Management team to:
- Grow transaction volumes through the effective servicing of existing billers
- Prospect and onboard new billers
- Grow transaction volumes through retailer and digital payment networks
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships
- Explore innovative new solutions or strategic opportunities to grow the business and develop industry specific solutions
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager to maintain the company’s marketing presence
- Liaise with Admin, Finance, and IT to ensure operations pertaining to billers under management run smoothly
- Ongoing reporting
- Stay updated with market trends, competitor activity, and relevant industry regulations.
**Essential requirements**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferably an MBA).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Customer Service, Sales, Technical knowledge, and Marketing in the payments/financial industry.
- Experience in marketing strategies, planning and execution (incl. developing business initiatives to scale).
- Understanding of the project development lifecycle & digital payments landscape.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans will be beneficial).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Clear criminal, fraud, and credit record.
**Position based in: Stellenbosch**
