**Position: Regional Sales Manager**
**Position Reports to: Head of Sales**
**JOB BRIEF**
To reduce challenges in the sales process and manage a team of Sales specialist to ensure they are successful in their day-to-day activities.
**JOB DUTIES**
−Support the direct sales activities for the brand.
−Pursue sales targets as defined by the business.
−Calculation and communication of monthly KPI’s and sales targets for the sales team.
−Optimise team performance through training, exposure, feedback and quality assurance.
−Develop and motivate the team to search for sales leads and prospects.
−Enhance, streamline, and simplify the day-to-day operations of the team.
−Conduct regular one-on-one discussions with team members.
−Conduct the necessary performance management procedures of the sales team.
−Continuous feedback and information sharing with the Head of Sales to ensure the alignment of process, sales methodology, reporting, and sales force development across teams.
−Ensuring consistency and best practice is documented and applied across the teams as approved by the Head of Sales.
−Implement ad-hoc sales initiatives and campaigns to drive focus areas of the business.
−Point of contact for teams’ policies and procedures. Adherence of team members to these policies and procedures, as well as monitoring feedback time frames and updating of reporting.
−Assist with recruitment, contracting, training and mentoring of new team members.
−Impeccable governance of team contracts, i.e., cooler placement agreements.
−Weekly and monthly submission of direct sales reports, as determined by the Head of Sales.
−Ensure brand compliance of all team interactions.
−Preparation of customer and partner business reviews when required by Head of Sales.
−Manage cooler repairs, cooler movement and placement.
−Calculate, track and communicate Cooler return-on-investment (ROI) monthly.
−Distributor / Partner Management, as and when required.
−Sales teams expense management.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing challenges, and other issues that may interfere with the sales operation’s efficiency.
−Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
−Track and manage the performance of each direct report including conducting quarterly and year-end performance evaluations.
−Management and bookings of Sales team travel.
−Weekly and monthly sales report information collation and preparation.
−New customer listings, completion of documents and gathering of required information.
−Preparing Distributor Agreements.
−Customer Portal Management.
−Source sales data from Partners / Distributors / Customers as required, on a bi-monthly basis or as required.
−Ownership of all sales records.
−Distributor lists and contact lists including sourcing buyer details.
−Price lists, Repforce management and captaincy.
−Uploading of required files, price lists, distributor information.
−Downloading and sorting required information.
−Handling of Pioneer (Sales Representatives) queries and training.
−Daily information flow and reports identifying and monitoring trends.
−Compile minutes of sales meetings and distribution thereof.
−Ensure consistently strong levels of customer satisfaction.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
−Bachelor’s degree in operations or related (postgraduate advantageous).
−Minimum of 3 - 5 years Sales Management or Sales Operations Management experience in the
−FMCG / Beverage environment.
−Proficient in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
−Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
−Analytical with ability to interpret sales data.
−Demonstrated knowledge of sales process and methodologies and FMCG channels.
−Knowledge and demonstrated delivery in a challenging trading environment.
−Experience in operations management, costing, budgeting, and forecasting.
−Able to implement and drive operational processes and procedures.
−Ability to work independently and within a team to bring projects to a close.
−Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
−Ability to work independently and within teams to manage multiple projects.
−Ability to effectively communicate to lead and coach staff.
−Accurate with strong attention to detail for mínimal error.
−Ability to work with little supervision and meet deadlines within timeframes.
−Open to learning new ways or work and new systems.
Due to the Nature of the business and the phase in lifecycle, you will be required to support and perform activities outside of the above-described role, as well as occasionally outside of the standard operating hours.
