A Leading company in Transactional processes based in Rondebosch, Capetown seeks a
**National sales manager (HEAD OF SALES)** with sound experience with high level of managing regional sales managers, growing the business and taking responsibility for distribution channel growth.

(Prepaid, Value added Services or Banking exposure advantageous ).

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a matric exemption
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, sales or marketing is ideal
- Computer skills training or literacy
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and sales management

**Technical Skills required**
- MS Office suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Freshdesk/Salesforce or similar customer retention platform
- Computer skills
- Financial Management

**The successful applicant must have**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Key focus in revenue growth taking responsibility for new business development nationally which customer base of receivers (Public, Private and Corporate) and extend the collector channel (Banks, retails and independent distributors).
- Taking direct responsibility for distribution channel growth.

These channels include:

- Formal retailers, independent and small chains, national and regional chains, franchises and aggregators.
- Relevant API integrated formal channel customers including where POS integration is required.
- Sourcing, negotiating, and signing up new customers and channel partners using a targeted market approach.

These will typically include:

- Public sector municipalities,
- Private Sector Corporates,
- Private Utilities,
- Collectors like Retailers and Banks etc.
- Identifying, negotiating, and concluding relevant POS integration partnerships to facilitate delivery of services as per retailer requirements.
- Identifying, scoping, and facilitating technology development or upgrade requirements to adequately support the current and future customer.
- Building volumes through channel partners above budget targets
- Manage and support of Sales staff regionally across the country
- Including developing sales targets for each region and their staff Managing performance
- Undertaking ongoing performance reviews
- General Customer Relationship Management
- Detailed guidance and leadership of sales channel and teams, in conjunction with each Sales Manager, which includes: Sourcing & Developing specialist sales teams per region, in line with strategy.
- Managing own Central Administrative team.
- Co-ordinating customer support & retention activities
- Liaison & co-ordination with Marketing department to ensure in-store marketing and promotional activities aligned with sales objectives and channel strategy.
- Developing a broader Marketing strategy targeting the end consumer awareness to brand
- Overall responsibility for leading and managing national office team (as developed) and office administration.
- Ongoing competitor analysis.

**Leadership & Development**:

- Leading a small but very strategic core sales team to build culture and align initiatives and targets to company strategy and budget objectives.
- Identifying and recruiting correctly skilled and driven staff to fulfil the sales and administrative team requirements as and when required.
- These will change from time to time to align with company growth strategy.
- Lead and foster business partnerships with independent players critical to delivery of brand through this channel.
- POS providers and API integration to their platforms will be a critical success factor.
- Be prepared to share good and bad news as required.

**Sales & Marketing**:

- Develop and grow the revenue channel to meet and exceed the annual budget targets.
- Support each region to build a specialist sales team, when appropriate to the growth strategy.
- Closely monitor sales performance to ensure optimal sales activities
- Liaise with the Marketing department to develop appropriate marketing collateral
