**Role Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Set up the necessary facility for production of video and audio marketing material (i.e. studio, equipment)
- Produce and manage live stream productions (in studio as well as from locations)
- Manage, produce, and package podcasts
- Manage, produce, and package marketing videos
- Produce content for social media.
- Pre and post production proficiency
- Effectively operate camera, audio and production equipment
- Maintain high standards in production of media and video projects
- Act as one of the joint marketing creatives for the DA, in conjunction with the Digital Marketing Specialist and Creative Lead at Federal, giving visual expression to the party’s brand across all platforms in the Province.
- With the direction of the Gauteng Communications Department and Provincial Leadership, produce or edit marketing material (videos, infographics) required by the party for use across a range of platforms including digital and print, in-line with project deadlines.
- Establish production capacity in the DA Gauteng provincial office to produce and package electronic media products (e.g. videos, soundbites, social media videos or soundbites, direct live or recorded programmes or events, podcasts, etc.).
- Manage the production of electronic media products (e.g. recording videos, live transmissions, podcasts, soundbites, etc.).
- Package electronic media products (e.g. editing of videos, audio files, podcasts, etc.).
- Field recording of materials.
- Manage the production list of products to be produced including production schedules.
- Write copies and scripts to be used on the party’s marketing material.
- Ensure that all content generated adheres to the agreed party CI, in-line with the party Brand and Communications Guide, and that all visual communication is clear, consistent and compelling.
- Ensure all marketing content generated is checked and proofread before publishing to minimize design and production errors.
- Assist the Gauteng Communications Department and Provincial Leadership as required with sharing content and other communication on the party’s social media platforms.
- Help develop creative ideas of delivering the party’s marketing content to voters.
- Ensure all photographs and videos supplied to the marketing team and respective line management, and all completed design work files are stored on the server and ordered in a methodical way for preservation and future reference.
- To build equipment capacity in order produce video content in the field.
- To build equipment capacity in order produce video content in a studio setup.
- To build equipment capacity in order produce podcast content in a studio setup.
- To ensure that there is a comprehensive process relating to the management of role specific assets and equipment.
- Creatively design marketing material required by the party for use across a range of platforms including digital and print, in-line with project deadlines
- Ensure that all electronic media material generated adheres to the agreed party CI, in-line with the party CI Guide, and that visual communications are clear, consistent and resonate with the party’s target market in a compelling way
- Ensure that all content and information that is supplied to the communications team, as well as all completed design work files are stored on the server and ordered (catalogued) in a methodical manner for preservation and future reference

**Role Experience and Qualifications**:

- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience managing media for brands
- Basic educational level required to successfully operate in this role.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in media and content production
- Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
- Experience in media and content production and live streaming
- Demonstrated experience in studio setup and content creation
- Experience Graphic Art/Design, use of Adobe In Design, Photoshop will be advantageous
- Proficiency in more than one language advantageous
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent videography/ cinematography skills
- Video format conversions and codex
- Sound design, recording, remixing and musical scoring
