**Overview**

The position requires a dynamic, energetic, focused, experienced and seasoned professional in the field of sales, to lead the Gauteng based team.

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall Sales function in the Gauteng region including Limpopo, North West, Mpumalanga and Free State.

Key areas of responsibility will include;
- Ensuring the efficiency, cost effectiveness and profitability of the sales function.
- The continuous development, implementation, execution and evaluation of sales initiatives, plans and actions for the region.
- The achievement of business objectives and sales targets for the region,
- A specific focus on the growth of sales and market share within the existing client base as well as from new customers.
- To build and develop sound relationships with key clients both internal and external and ensuring excellence in client service.
- Sourcing, monitoring, tracking, analysis and evaluation of sales/market data and trends resulting in focused sales initiatives and growth in sales.
- Coaching, developing and training of sales personnel and providing support and advice to all regional sales teams ( KZN, Southern & Eastern Cape, Western Cape).
- Ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to and applied consistently.
- Daily, monthly and quarterly reporting and feedback.
- Behaving in such a manner as to inspire, motivate, enhance performance and further the brand name.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Gr 12 whilst an applicable tertiary qualification in Sales will be an advantage.
- 8 - 10 years applicable experience in sales management functions of which at least 5 years must have been in a managerial position.
- Must be competent to manage all the aspects of sales based on sound business acumen.
- Proven track record in driving sales, achievement of sales targets, growth of sales, and developing a high performance work environment.
- Sound understanding, knowledge and applied skills in the implementation and execution of sales and marketing initiatives, plans, processes & procedures and related business systems.
- Excellent applied competency in developing and managing key accounts as well as client and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent planning, organising, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Highly professional and ethical conduct.
- Sound computer literacy and good applied skills in MS Excel and in using business operating systems e.g IQ, SAP, SYSPRO.
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans with excellent communication skills.
- Valid and accredited South African drivers licence with own vehicle.
- Energetic, outcome and performance driven, resilient, stress, organised, attention to detail, hands on and practical, sound judgement, positive self assertiveness, willingness to learn
