Job Description:
**Purpose of Role**:To develop and implement learning and development plans and ensure alignment of the learning value chain with business objectives and priorities.

**Drive Talent and Performance objectives**
- Establish talent management frameworks and drive the talent agenda for the business.
- Ensure alignment of talent processes with performance measures.
- Drive the integration of talent with development
- Ensure that talent programs continue to address leadership competency gaps.
- Design career management practices to support the talent management strategy.
- Conduct talent diagnostics and project manage implementation of initiatives.

**Develop learning plans and initiatives
- Review the integration and efficacy of the learning plan in line with business objectives.
- Design and implement technical skills transfer program
- Drive improvements of current technical training methods
- Facilitate implementation of technical training related to commissioning of new machinery for recapitalisation projects
- Identify and design competencies required in the business against capability building strategies and plans.
- Design competency modelling framework (generic and functional competencies)

**Align development processes with strategic thrusts.
- Facilitate learning needs analysis process and provide direction on short to medium term plans to close gaps for the business.
- Review learning interventions/programs to ensure relevance with business needs, steering the flagship Nampak leadership development programmes.
- Ensure that streamlined learning processes and programs produce the required results in terms of knowledge and competence.

**Lead Knowledge Management/Resource Centres**
- Ensure design and accessibility of learning tools through on-line platforms (not limited to technical training)
- Design processes to improve the management and delivery of learning
- Facilitate the development of skills inventories.
- Design on-line on-boarding platforms and roll-out project plans

**Development of Models and Frameworks**
- Evaluate and monitor the impact of development interventions through learning models and ROI frameworks.
- Review organisation-wide training needs and integrate with other data to make recommendations for future strategy - across functions.
- Develop guidelines and assess existing tools on how to identify and assess potential
- Track external trends to ensure alignment to Human Capital best practice

People management
- Coach teams to build and maintain high performance standards.
- Drive team behaviour to ensure adherence to company values.
- Implement a talent pipeline supported by team development plans.
- Conduct talent review sessions to drive results.
- Ensure the implementation of mentorship plans

Reporting, Governance and Compliance
- Align Workplace Skills Plan with Employment Equity and Broad-based BEE objectives
- Ensure that training policies and practices are aligned to current legislation
- Act as focal point in the business’s dealings with the SETA
- Develop and implement a risk and compliance framework and reporting methodology for the organisation.
- Design appropriate risk control solutions
- Conduct risk analysis of skills gaps and availability of resources.
- Review overall results of training providers against strategy and plan
- Set standards and parameters for selection of training providers

Financial Management
- Design and recommend cost effective learning solutions.
- Compile annual learning budget.
- Monitor expenditure to ensure correct costs allocation in accordance within budget.
- Monitor SETA grant recoveries and ensure alignment with ATR and WSP submissions

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Capital or Related Fields

**Experience**
- 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years should be in Management or Leadership role
- 3 - 5 years Human Capital generalist role
