**DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS**:
As the floor manager you will be required to perform the duties and functions as listed below. Your duties and functions may be added to or changed from time to time in the Company’s sole discretion as circumstances require.

Additional System Experience Desirable for this position:

- Wholesale, retail, and warehouse systems experience
- DEAR Inventory and POS

Essential Experience for this position
- Retail POS experience at supervisor level
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in Excel

Starting date as soon as possible.

**Tasks and Duties**:

External customers and suppliers

Internal SU clients and suppliers

Maties Shop colleagues

Matie Shop management

F209 team members

All SU stakeholders - All faculties, departments, residences, and all other SU environments.

**Reporting**:
Management -Matie Shop Manager and Senior Buyer/Planner

**Customer Service**

Handle all customer queries and complaints, ensure they are resolved efficiently, in a friendly professional manner.

Determine the needs of customers and ensure they are met by always putting the customer first.

**Retail Shop Floor Management**

Opening and closing of stores including mobile shop.

Ensure shops are always neat and clean.

That all shop fixtures and fittings are maintained in good order.

That shops are SAS compliant. Report any breakdowns or defects to management.

Management of shop security.

Management of merchandising. Creative, innovative window and floor display. Constant rotation of floor stock, keeping shops looking fresh and current. Optimization of shelf space.

Management of markdowns and sales ensuring pricing is adjusted and instore marketing material is displayed.

Drive monthly sales targets.

Increase annual turnovers for all stores.

**Staff Management**

Management of all shop floor staff, ensuring duties are preformed effectively

Sales training and POS training on DEAR.

Staff skills development in customer service, sales, and merchandising.

Staff timetables for all stores

Effective communication to management in regards staff shortages.

Establish a performance orientated culture.

**Inventory Management**

Monitor stock inventory levels daily in all locations.

Ensure stock levels are always maintained.

Request inventory transfers to all stores ensuring they happen timeously.

Ensure all delivered stock into store is counted and checked accurately. SKU barcodes, description, sizing, and pricing is as per DEAR inventory.

Report inventory variances

Manage return of damaged goods following the correct procedure.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock takes in each location.

Weekly meeting with management in regards turnover, low stock levels, new stock requests, staff issues. Weekly sales and turnover must be submitted on a spreadsheet with new inventory purchase requests.

**Financial Administration**

Manage daily cash ups ensuring all figures are correct and that there are no shortages. Daily cash ups are to be signed off and put into the safe

Discrepancies in daily cash up must be reported to management.

Authorize “end of day” on POS.

Weekly banking

Float - always ensure adequate change.

Accurate financial administration

**General Admin and Reporting**

Effective administration on all store documentation and filing.

Weekly sales reports for all stores

Weekly low stock level reports

Report sales trends and advise management on new product.

**Other**:
Other ad-hoc tasks, functions and assistance as required by management.

Self-management and development: expansion and development of knowledge and skills as required by post.

**Experience**:

- Retail Floor Supervisor: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
- Afrikaans (preferred)
- Any foreign languages (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's license (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape (required)

Ability to Relocate:
