The Matie Shop a division of Factory 209 Pty Ltd a company wholly owned by Stellenbosch University is seeking a dynamic, detail orientated Operations, Merchandise, and Planning Manager to join our innovative university apparel brand.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Inventory Management, Data Analysis and the Planning and Implementation of merchandising strategies, ensuring that our product assortment meet both financial goals and customer expectations.

Ensuring orders are placed in a timely manner, inventory levels are maintained and developing effective pricing strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, sales and supply chain, to optimize inventory levels and drive sales performance.

We are looking for a dynamic collaborator who thrives in a creative, fast paced environment where deadlines, priorities and initiatives pivoted frequently. An analytical and strategic thinker with strong financial skills. Must have a positive, solution orientated mindset, and leads with respect, empathy and humility.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, Applied fashion retail or related fields.
- At least 7 year’s category management experience preferably in a Retail Environment.
- Technical proficiency in MS office suite, especially Excel. (Pivot and Data Analytics is a must)
- Proficiency in using merchandise planning and inventory management software. DEAR would be advantageous.
- POS Point of Sale systems and customer tracking platforms.
- Prior experience in finance and budgeting

**Skills**
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to oversee inventory and supply chain logistics efficiently.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to facilitate efficient workflow procedures seamlessly.
- Strategic planning, risk analysis and execution skills.
- Strong analytical data processing skills, financial acumen and budget management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: R1 234,00 - R12 345,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Honours (required)

**Experience**:

- Retail Management: 7 years (required)
