Job Title

Director, Business Development - Multi Rail

The Director: Multi Rail Development will be responsible for use case development from inception to commercialization across payment flows, building out scale across segments.

Overview

Develop and execute a market strategy for Account to Account Systems across Southern Africa (SAEM). This role will involve product management, strategy creation, business development including new investments, strategic alliances, developing bespoke solutions to drive domestic relevance and managing & deploying existing partnerships and commercializing existing assets to establish MasterCard brand leadership in the payment space.

Role

Develop and execute market strategy aligned with the global Mastercard ACH strategy:

- Grow market share where card networks are more appropriate, and play a leading role in the fast ACH value chain
- Accelerate participation in Fast ACH and establish Mastercard as a credible player
- Participate in Fast ACH Value Chain:

- ACH infrastructure provider -lead in strategic markets with upcoming RFPs
- Identify market opportunities and engage with customers
- Domestic/intra-regional level infrastructure/scheme
- Global XB infrastructure/scheme
- Leverage use of other ecosystems (Mobile) to connect to A2A
- Explore strategic partnerships
- Bank partnerships
- P2M ACH acceptance
- Commercialize and Scale
- Business strategy
- GTM coordination for products
- Sales/product delivery process
- Identifying, developing and executing appropriate partner strategies with processors and switches
- Developing bespoke solutions to develop ecosystem infrastructure build
- Develop region specific Product/sales strategies to help drive sales of ACH systems and associated Value Added services
- Provide business model evaluation and conduct due diligence on opportunities that could require equity investing or other forms of commercial contracting
- Conduct opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts and provide design specifications for product enhancements to Product Development
- Develop new partner/alliance relationships and maintain and strengthen existing partner/alliance relationships

All About You
- In-depth experience executing and managing business development strategies for large or complex countries/regions/industry verticals
- Track record in achieving business development targets and building customer relationships through customer sales
- Demonstrated success introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various MasterCard countries/regions/industry verticals
