Business Development Specialist
**LOCATION**
Gauteng, Midrand
**PURPOSE OF ROLE**
The Business Development Specialist role will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring that the company grows in the market. The incumbent will be responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing the client base, expanding the company’s market reach, identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with potential clients. The Business Development Specialist plays a crucial role of ensuring that revenue targets are achieved and that the business continues to grow its presence in the market. They are required to have a strong drive to achieve goals, be innovative, have great communication skills, have analytical and critical thinking skills, be professional and have a passion for driving revenue growth.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Mid-career level employee with 5 to 10 years proven experience in Business Development, Sales or related role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Understanding of the B-BBEE legislation and Enterprise and Supplier Development landscape.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to write proposals, present and pitch to potential clients.
- The resourcefulness to be innovative in implementing marketing and sales strategies with available resources.
- Ability to oversee the performance of creative marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences.
