DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
HL Learn, the global Learning & Development team, is part of the firm’s People function, and headed by the Chief Learning Officer, based in Washington D.C. Teams in each of the firm’s regions (Americas, Asia-Pacific, and EMEA) collaborate on global, regional, and jurisdiction-specific initiatives. The EMEA team is based across offices in London, Birmingham, Munich, and Johannesburg, and supports the firm’s People strategy through a range of coaching, development programs, workshops, e-learning, and other career development activities.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Learning & Development Administrator will support the design and delivery of a range of global, regional, and UK development initiatives for lawyers and business services professionals. This involves both in-house programs, workshops and e-learning, and liaising with commissioned external providers as appropriate. In addition, the role is responsible for recording evidence of lawyer development in accordance with relevant regulators’ requirements, and will provide administrative support for HL Learn team processes and communications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Administrative support for HL Learn programs, workshops, and courses
- Coordinating calendar appointments and booking faculty, rooms, equipment, technology, materials, and refreshments as required
- Sending invitations, joining instructions, and feedback surveys, monitoring participation, and updating relevant Program Managers
- Proof-reading, updating, and preparing materials
- Maintaining files and folders, including project plans, participation records, materials, and evaluation surveys
- Administrative support for Solicitors Regulation Authority Continuing Competence processes
- Administrative support for HL Learn team training, including coaching supervision, and budget (processing invoices and tracking spend)
- Perform additional duties or responsibilities, which fall reasonably within the ambit of the job description, or in accordance with operational requirements
REQUIREMENTS PROFILE
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- HR Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/7)
- One year operational Learning & Development administration
MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work to deadlines and deliver consistently on agreed objectives and commitments
- Must be able to prioritize and plan workload, taking into account changing business needs
- Must be able to handle pressure and recover from setbacks

- Must have a clear criminal record
