Job Title: Senior Payroll Officer

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage end-to-end payroll process ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payment
- Compile and maintain payroll data including leaves, deductions, and overtime
- Process and reconcile payroll transactions using Sage 300 software
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant payroll regulations
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding their pay
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required
- Liaise with HR department to update and maintain employee data in the payroll system
- Calculate and process statutory payments such as taxes, benefits, and pensions
- Stay updated with changes in payroll regulations and inform the management of any necessary adjustments
- Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll reports and regulatory filings
- Oversee the drafting of employee exit documentation (UIF, provident fund, service certificate)
- Monthly Payroll reporting

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing using Sage 300 software
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor compliance
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes for a large organization
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze numerical data accurately
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other relevant certification
