**Position Duties and Scope**:

- Execute position responsibilities and duties in a professional manner in compliance with ALS HSE/HR and QAQC policies and procedures.
- Escalate any deviations from the HSE/HR and QAQC policy and procedural requirements via management notification to the Senior Management as applicable immediately.
- Work as an integral part of the Project team in CPL and MCL projects within Africa or Europe as requested.
- When not in project assignment, to provide full support to regional maintenance teams on as needed basis.
- Communicate between Project Managers and site managers when required.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all clients, internal and external.
- Ability to communicate professionally and coordinate works and tasks with all Suppliers and Contractors and to obtain quotations on products, lab equipment or installation works.
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely fashion under the Project Manager’s supervision.
- Participate in laboratory layout designs and cost estimations.
- Supervise Containerized lab projects delegated to third party suppliers and report back on progress achieved vs targets and milestone defined.
- Assist with the deployment, installation and commissioning of ALS mobile labs once delivered to client’s site.
- Installation of prefabricated lab furniture, lab benches, shelving, racking systems on different projects.
- Ability to built lab equipment or lab furniture following ALS designs and internal drawings.
- Coordinate installation and fit-out of laboratory equipment at different projects and involve and engage equipment suppliers on as needed basis.
- Ability to carry out cost estimation for projects and develop GANTT charts for projects under his responsibility for tracking purpose.
- Ability to generate Update Reports for upper reporting lines and clients using Power Point Presentations.
- General maintenance work when required.
- Other duties as directed by Project Manager.

**Specific Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators**:

- Provide assistance to other project teams.
- Working with other Project Team leaders across EMENA region to standardize approach to project execution and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver the Maintenance plan across all sites within the region and any new project.
- Provision of assistance to site managers with respect lab equipment installation and commissioning whether applicable and possible.
- Propose Project initiatives and suggest/implement these to the benefit of business operations.
- Timely submission and quality (i.e. depth of information) of monthly reports.
- The Project Team Officer but not limited must treat and keep all information, material documents, employee contracts, received, including day to day work and any discussion with Managers very confidential all the time and should not disclose any information of any kind to anyone with the previous consent of the GM Europe & MENA / Regional Operation Mgrs and Project Manager.

**Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities**:

- Knowledge of company safety policies, infrastructure, reporting protocols and general work safe procedures.
- Promote safety.
- Carry out safety risk assessment before any work is commencing or executed.
- Complies with current Safety standards.
- Notifies any unsafe practices or any compliance concerns.

**Position Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing/supervising projects.
- General engineering and design skills and experience.
- Experience and skills in steel fabrication, pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
- Mechanical fitting experience including experience in structural welding, carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance.
- Experience in ventilations system will be advantageous.
- Possess problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing people and develop short, medium and long-term plans.
- Draftsman skills with preferrable experience in AutoCAD or Visio or other design/drawing software.
- Have the ability to develop effective working relationships and effective ways of communications with all site managers in the region.
- Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence others.
- Possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Have intellectual curiosity; bring valuable insight into the team / business.
- Good understanding of MS Office tools, Outlook and PPt systems.
- Ability to work flexibility hours and to travel other sites as required and as per business demand.
- Complete and safely keep all required records as per Good Documentation Principles including GDPR.
