The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is a key executive position within Traderoot and plays a pivotal role in driving revenue generation, long-term sustainable growth for the organisation and fostering good client relationships. The CRO is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability. The role requires the CRO to collaborate closely with the executive team, to lead sales and marketing strategies, identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with clients and partners. The CRO needs to have exceptional leadership skills, industry expertise and strategic vision to drive Traderoot to achieve sustained revenue growth, profitability and market success. The leadership and expertise of the CRO is vital in shaping the future of Traderoot in a competitive market and landscape.
The position carries a fixed and commission-based remuneration.
**Primary responsibilities**
The CRO is responsible for leading and managing all revenue generating activities within Traderoot. The primary focus of the role is to maximize the company’s profit and to drive revenue growth, collaborating closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with Traderoot’s overall goals.
The CRO’s responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and execute comprehensive Africa sales strategies to drive revenue generation to meet the organization’s targets and objectives.
- Drive sales for the organisation with marketing leadership: Oversee the Sales and Marketing teams, providing guidance and support to optimize performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s customer base and revenue streams.
- Create effective lead generation processes.
- Customer relationship management: Foster strong relationships with key clients and partners to ensure timeous contract reviews and develop long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- Utilise opportunities to promote and sell additional products and solutions to existing clients.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse revenue and sales data, monitor financial metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve revenue performance.
- Performance evaluation: Implement KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of revenue strategies and pricing on growth objectives and support necessary adjustments.
- Contract Management: Manage the creation, execution, analysis and renewal of client contracts to maximize Traderoot’s operational and financial performance and reduce financial risk. Oversee the management of contracts and licences and ensure support teams are fully aware of agreements in client contracts, including Service Level Agreements.
- Drive the commercialisation of non-sales revenue opportunities and explore innovative strategies, beyond traditional sales, to generate revenue.
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Department: Finance to set revenue budgets and effectively allocate resources to support revenue generated activities.
- Market Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics and competitor activities as well as opportunities to generate leads through market evaluation and formulation of Go-to-Market revenue strategies to keep Traderoot ahead in the Fintech sector.
- Create and publish accurate product differentiation documents.
- Risk Management: Assess potential revenue-related risks and work with the Project Management Officer (PMO) to develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity, delivery and capacity planning and compliance with regulations.
**Salary**: R120,000.00 - R160,000.00 per month
