Our **Human Resources team** is looking for a trustworthy, innovative, energetic and passionate **HR Leader** who will lead a team of HRBP’s towards the achievement of the organisation’s People goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be culture and client centric, with a strong ability to create effective business partnerships. Additionally, you should constantly seek opportunities to maximise teams, processes, teamwork and partnering to achieve world class results.

**Purpose**

To be a strategic business partner to the Regional Retail Operations Management team; to develop and lead a professional, agile and connected Regional HR team and to ensure operational excellence in the development and execution of HR services and operational plans.

Ultimately, the Regional HR Leader must ensure that the regional HR team: achieves their strategic objectives while supporting the regional operations strategic objectives and effectively and efficiently partner with key stakeholders to maintain and build the strong local and regional winning culture and employer brand, in support of the Company’s position as the #1 retailer.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Support, develop and execute HR Operational Plans and Projects
- Create sound Talent, Development & Culture people processes within the region.
- Coach the team towards the achievement of the people goals.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead, manage and drive the development and performance of the HR team to reach their full potential within their respective areas
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of the full spectrum of HR services and functions
- Drive and maintain our culture and team member experiences
- Perform and control effective and accurate administrative, analysis & reporting functions
- Drive continuous improvement and self-development

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification is important. A post graduate qualification in a related field is advantageous
- 5-8 years of functional HR Generalist / HR Business Partner experience which includes experience and a sound understanding of best practices and trends across the full spectrum of HR services and functions is essential
- 4-5 years of managerial experience in the retail industry / shared services / operations environments is required
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on team motivation, coaching and knowledge sharing is essential
- A sound working knowledge of all SA labour legislation is an important requirement.
- Good understanding of HR administrative, consulting and transactional activities is a key requirement
- Relevant knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems & practices (payroll, remuneration, benefits) is important
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle is required
- Microsoft Office proficiency is a key requirement
