Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Greeting, thanking and communicating with all potential and current, guests, employees and contractors in a sincere, friendly, positive and helpful attitude.

2. Maintaining a professional appearance under all circumstances.

3. Checking guests in on arrival and out on departure.

4. Ensuring guests billing is correct and payments are received.

5. Correctly collecting and posting guest payments.

6. Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.

7. Provide guests with information about the hotel.

8. Operating switchboard and assisting with inquiries.

9. Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.

10. Taking reservations, making sales, following up with guest’s bookings and payments.

11. Promoting other hotel facilities

12. Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

13. Complying with company procedures and safety policies.

14. Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks.

15. Not limited to the above.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 Matric.
- Proven experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Well-presented and polite with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to multitask and to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Shift Work.

**Salary**: From R5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
