Lead a team in research, design, development, and integration and work closely with Design Engineers in R&D, QA and Production to ensure efficient production testing of designs.

Job description / core competencies:
Lead team in research, design, development, integration, test, and qualification of Windows-based test equipment.

Innovation and improvement of measurement systems.

Obsolescence management.

Work closely with Design Engineers in R&D, QA and Production to ensure efficient production testing of designs.

Delivery of measurement systems meeting performance and timescales as per project requirements.

Develop a performance driven culture within the team (on spec, on budget, on time).

Technical documentation of instrument designs.

Configuration management of designs and of deployed equipment.

Line management of staff.

Local and international travel may be required.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Required Minimum Qualification

B. Eng. (Electronics), B. Tech (Electronics) or equivalent.

Required Minimum Experience

10 years’ experience in design, development, and production of test equipment.

Skills & Competencies

Management skills.

Design and testing of electronic circuits covering analogue, digital and RF.

Experienced in measurement principles and measurement systems.

Programming skills in assembler and high-level languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic and Delphi.

Visual Studio & LabVIEW.

Windows based test platforms.

Database development skills & SQL.

Good analytical skills.

Attention to detail.

Creative problem solving.

Communicate effectively.

Planning, organisational & time management.

Good technical writing skills.

Other

Light motor vehicle drivers’ licence.
