Job Summary:

Masimo is expanding its presence in the South African and Southern African market; this Key Account Manager role will be vital in this strategic expansion. In this high-profile role, the Key Account Manager will identify and develop strategic relationships with a variety of clinical leaders in targeted hospitals and other healthcare markets in South Africa and the broader region and will support Accounts (Hospitals and Private Clinics) in her/his territory in close collaboration with Masimo Distributors. The Key Account Manager will plan, execute, and direct the overall Key Account (Whole House Conversion) Sales program, developed in partnership with Masimo distributors, which will include development of account strategies, implementation of strategies, and coordination of resources necessary to optimize strategies. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of accounts including qualification, demonstration, clinical evaluation and closure, in close partnership with Masimo distributors.
  • Work very closely with appropriate distributor sales staff in selling and closing key account whole-house conversions.
  • Position Masimo SET as the new standard for pulse oximetry. Participate in programs to build and maintain end-user awareness (e.g., trade shows, regional symposiums, competitive analysis, etc.),
  • Provide marketing input to upper management (both at Masimo and with distributors) including market trends and competitive activity.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge including ability to demonstrate products, position products vs. competitive products and provide in-service for end-users, and closely support distributors in these skillsets as well.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in the CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Create/maintain list of forecasted business for provision to leadership.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a key account sales role within an organization. Must have a broad business perspective with outstanding business development and sales skills.
  • Proven experience in sales or a customer-facing role with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional selling skills, including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-making.
  • Very high bandwidth individual dedicated to Masimo and chosen career. Highly intelligent, perceptive individual who possesses excellent conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be results oriented with a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Experience working in both large structured and small entrepreneurial organizations. Must be sensitive to the constraints of a "start-up" operation and capable of working effectively in such an environment and possess the flexibility in reacting to new situations and adaptability for working in a new environment.
  • Direct selling experience in competitive, strategy-intensive markets.
  • Experience working with sales forces.
  • Experience calling on administration and C-Level executives.
  • Comfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidence.
  • Must be a self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction. Must be accustomed to a heavy travel schedule.
  • Must be PC literate, have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and project management skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. Clinical degree(s) a plus.
