Payment Operations Agent

The Role :
The Payment Operations Agent is responsible for managing and executing day-to-day payment processing activities. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, handling payment-related issues, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The Payment Operations Agent will collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth payment operations.
Key Role & Responsibilities :
Data Capturing :
- Capturing all the payments as they come through on the gateway.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of payment transactions to ensure accurate accounting of all payments.
- Investigate and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Customer Queries :
- Assist customers in their subscription journey by helping them understand their payments.
Customer Calls :
- Respond to and support customers who call in seeking assistance with their locked devices.
Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall customer experience and propose and implement process improvements as necessary.
Reporting :
- Generate and maintain regular reports on payment activities, including transaction volumes, success rates, and error analysis, and present findings to management for performance evaluation and decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient knowledge of payment processing methods, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with various payment systems and platforms e.g., Peach, Paystack, Pay Fast.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using Google or Microsoft tools, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
