Position: National Key Accounts Manager

Location : Cape Town, Western Cape

Role Summary:
  • Overall management of the Gifting Team
  • To ensure KPIs are achieved
  • To ensure that the customer service levels are met.
  • Set the standard for product presentation level.
  • Key Account Management.
  • Meeting and exceeding the expectations of all retail customers and growing sales in existing and new stores.
  • Ensuring expense budgets are in line.
Minimum Qualification Criteria:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree/Diploma in Sales/Marketing or Design would be advantageous
  • 5 yrs minimum experience as a buyer in the relevant retail sector or Key Account Management in this category.
  • Must have a flair for design and product development and a good understanding of retail planning
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Setting annual sales and expense budgets.
  • Pricing strategy and product listings.
  • Product strategy & sourcing.
  • Managing relationship with import agent.
  • Overall management of gifting marketing & design team.
  • Overall management of gifting sales team.
  • Calculating order quantities to ensure correct stock covers.
  • Liaising with production team locally to ensure stock levels are maintained and launch dates met.
  • Analyse and action customer stock and sales reports.
  • All communication with customer buying, planning and technology teams.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key service providers and all clients.
  • Communicate occasion launches, store revamps, new stores, special projects to Regional Manager
  • Manage equipment budget, new equipment design and implementation thereof
  • Supplier selection process and management.
  • Ensure gifting processes adhere to requirements for Sylko management system (ISO, FSC, vendor analysis and any other).
  • Design process from briefing to final approval.
  • Communication to finance team on suppliers details, payment, etc.
  • Write-offs approval
